BMSSY
- Eligibility
- Resident of West Bengal
- Age 18-60 yrs
- Family income less than Rs 6500
- Unorganised Sector worker as defined in Schedule A and B of Govt of West Bengal
Provident fund (PF)
This scheme provides free provident fund to the the unorganised sector workers , Contribution is paid by the Government.W.E.F 01.04.2020. Previously known as Samajik Surakshya Yojana (SSY) also State Assisted Scheme of Provident Fund for Unorganised workers ( SASPFUW). In this scheme both the employee and employer contribution is borne by the Govt. of West Bengal. i.e Rs 30 from Govt and Rs 25 of the Benefeciary Part is deposited by the Govt to his / her account
Social Security benefits
Normal death benefit ; 50,000/- is given to the nominee of the unorganised worker.
Accidental death benefit of 20,0000/- is given to the nominee of the unorganised worker.
All benefits as subject to fulfillment of all eligibility criteria laid down by the govt from time to time.
Pension
Not yet applicable to this scheme, only applicable to WBTWSSS and BOCWA Scheme on attaining 60 years of age of the registered beneficiary
